Colorado
GOCO Community Impact Grant
GOCO Community Impact grants fund parks, trails, and outdoor amenities that benefit Colorado communities. Projects range from playground renovations to new trail systems and park infrastructure. GOCO invests approximately $9 million annually in local government projects. These grants are highly competitive — contact your GOCO regional officer at least six months before submitting.

GOCO Pathways grants support trail development and access projects across Colorado. Eligible projects include new trail construction, trail connections, trailhead improvements, and accessibility enhancements. Part of GOCO's approximately $16 million annual investment in outdoor recreation infrastructure.
Nevada
Nevada Recreational Trails Program (RTP)
The Nevada Recreational Trails Program is a federally funded grant providing approximately $1.2 million statewide for trail projects. Eligible projects include construction and maintenance of motorized and non-motorized trails, trailhead amenities, signage, and outdoor education programs. Recent funded projects include the Sierra Front Trail in Washoe County and accessible pathways at Tule Springs Fossil Beds.
Conserve Nevada Grant
Conserve Nevada offers approximately $10 million in grants for conservation and outdoor recreation projects. Eligible categories include designing and constructing trails, recreational facilities, campsites, land and water acquisition, wildfire mitigation, and river corridor restoration. Since 2002, the program has funded over 200 projects resulting in more than 100 miles of new recreational trails.
Nevada Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF)
The Land and Water Conservation Fund provides 50/50 matching grants for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities. Nevada administers the state-side program through Nevada State Parks. Eligible applicants include cities, counties, and state agencies. Projects must provide public outdoor recreation benefits.
